Appearance
In the Hunter x Hunter series, Bisky possesses two radically distinct appearances: her preferred, compressed child-like form and her massive, hyper-muscular true form. Despite being 57 years old, she subconsciously uses Nen to permanently alter her shape, predominantly keeping a youthful appearance because she genuinely dislikes her true physique.
Child-Like Form (Preferred)
In this state, Bisky mimics the appearance of a delicate, porcelain doll. She appears as a small, cute young girl. In the 2011 anime adaptation, she is depicted with blonde hair and pink eyes, while in the 1999 adaptation, her hair is light brown. Her hair is typically tied up neatly and changes styles a few times throughout the arcs.
She is famously recognized for wearing a sleeveless pink and burgundy dress with white trim, a small white collar, white gloves, bloomers hidden under her skirt, and plain leather shoes. However, when hired as a Royal Bodyguard later in the manga, she shifts her style drastically, wearing her hair in a laced bun and dressing in a formal suit and tie.
True Form (Muscular)
When forced to release her compressed Nen, Bisky transforms back into her authentic physical state. She becomes a massive, towering, and hyper-muscular woman who stands several times the size of her child-like form. Her muscles are extremely defined, giving her an incredibly imposing, masculine, and powerhouse silhouette. While her Nen output remains relatively the same between forms, her raw physical strength increases exponentially when she reverts to this body, allowing her to easily obliterate opponents with basic physical attacks.

Personality
Bisky has a complex, layered personality that masterfully blends a deceptive, cutesy facade with the shrewd, ruthless mind of a 57-year-old master martial artist. Bisky willingly weaponizes her child-like appearance to gain tactical advantages. She acts innocent, helpless, and overly sweet to make opponents lower their guard, gather information, or manipulate people into getting exactly what she wants.
When it comes to Nen and martial arts, Bisky drops the act entirely. She is an incredibly strict, unyielding, and demanding teacher who pushes her students (like Gon and Killua) to their absolute physical and mental breaking limits. She views raw talent like an unpolished gemstone and derives immense satisfaction from "polishing" her students into flawless diamonds. Conversely, she grows deeply upset when she sees people wasting their potential.
Despite her ruthless power, Bisky is highly susceptible to flattery. Complimenting her appearance or treating her like a princess instantly softens her and makes her agreeable. However, she deeply detests her massive, muscular true form because she believes it lacks femininity, only revealing it as a last resort when a fight demands absolute power.
While she tries to maintain a poised, youthful aura, Bisky has an explosive temper. She is incredibly sensitive about her age and is prone to violent outbursts whenever someone leaves her out of a conversation or hints at how old she really is (with Killua often bearing the brunt of her punches for his sarcastic remarks).
As a Gemstone Hunter, Bisky has a borderline obsessive love for rare jewels, gems, and money. She gets incredibly excited around precious items and even has a quirky habit of giving her favorite gemstones cute nicknames. She also occasionally exhibits quite a few humorous eccentricities, such as gushing over male fashion magazines or getting overly enthusiastic about handsome, muscular young men.
Beneath the physical beatings, manipulative schemes, and vanity lies a genuinely mature and caring individual. Bisky acts as a protective, matriarchal figure for the younger generation of Hunters. She feels a profound, unspoken sorrow when she witnesses the trauma her students carry, such as her quiet heartbreak upon realizing Killua's Nen traits were born out of childhood torture.
Background
Decades before the main series, Biscuit studied martial arts and Nen at the prestigious Shingen-ryu School of Kung Fu, which was founded by the legendary former Chairman of the Hunter Association, Isaac Netero. She also passed the grueling Hunter Exam at just 17 years old, exactly 40 years prior to the start of the series.
Long before she met Gon and Killua, Biscuit served as the formal Nen teacher to Wing (the man who eventually taught Gon and Killua the bare basics of Nen in Heavens Arena). She earned the rare status of a Double-Star Hunter by fulfilling strict Hunter bylaws: mentoring a student (Wing) who achieved high ranks, holding official leadership positions, and executing exemplary work in her specialized field as a "Stone Hunter" dedicated to finding rare, precious gems.
Additionally, since Bisky detests her natural, bulky, masculine physique, through years of intense, subconscious desire and mental focus, she somehow manifested a passive, pseudo-magical ability to permanently compress her physical body into the guise of a small, fragile young girl.
The first time we meet Bisky in the series, she has entered the Greed Island game driven by her desire to obtain the island's ultimate jewel card, the Blue Planet. There, she noticed Gon and Killua. Frustrated by their "unpolished" Nen usage but captivated by their raw potential, she took them on as her disciples. Utilizing her Magical Spa Services (Cookie) hatsu, she bypassed normal physical limitations to push the boys through a year’s worth of high-level Nen training in just 30 days.
She returned during the Chimera Ant arc to further drill the boys for their battle against Knuckle and Shoot, crucially helping Killua recognize the mental blocks placed on him by his family. Following Isaac Netero's death, she was highly respected enough to be nominated as a viable candidate for the 13th Chairman of the Hunter Association, though she did not aggressively pursue the position.
In the current storyline Bisky is heavily active, moving entirely away from her past role as a mere training mentor and operating as an active, high-stakes military bodyguard. To secure enough trustworthy Nen users to gain access to Tserriednich during the lethal boat trek to the Dark Continent, Kurapika formally hired Biscuit to work as a guard.
Bisky is currently stationed on Tier 1 of the massive Black Whale 1 ship. Her mission is to act as the primary, elite bodyguard for Marayam, the 13th Prince of Kakin, and his mother, Queen Sevanti during the Succession War contest.
She works closely alongside fellow Hunter Hanzo. Because the voyage has devolved into a brutal, claustrophobic war of assassination among the 14 princes, Biscuit is utilizing her sharp intelligence to sniff out spies and hidden Nen traps inside the residential quarters.
She continues to use her small child form to make rival guards underestimate her tactical threat level. However, to foster immediate trust with Prince Marayam's chief military guard, Captain Vergain, she privately demonstrated her ability to transform, unintentionally leaving Vergain completely captivated by her sheer aura and real appearance.

Powers and Abilities
Biscuit "Bisky" Krueger is a Double-Star Stone Hunter and a legendary Nen Master who trained Wing, Gon, and Killua. As a practitioner of the Shingen-ryu school of Kung Fu founded by Isaac Netero, she stands out as one of the most powerful and mechanically sound Nen users in the entire Hunter x Hunter series. Her powers and abilities are divided into her physical attributes, her body transmutation, and her specialized Nen techniques.
Physical and Combat Abilities
Immense Superhuman Strength: In her true, muscular form, Bisky possesses jaw-dropping raw physical power capable of shattering boulders and pulverizing opponents with a single strike. Even while heavily suppressing her power in her child-like form, she knocked the serial killer Binolt unconscious and caused him to vomit blood using a single, casual palm thrust, noting that she had to hold back so he wouldn't instantly die.
Preternatural Perception: Bisky possesses acute sensory awareness that rivals or surpasses most high-level Hunters. She instantly detected Binolt's hidden bloodlust and locked onto his exact position at a time when both Gon and Killua were completely oblivious to him. She can also accurately gauge a fighter's true strength just by looking at them or examining their body.
Immense Speed and Reflexes: Despite favoring a tiny, cutesy appearance that hides her physical capabilities, Bisky is blindingly fast. She can outmaneuver rapid attackers, react to attacks from point-blank range, and land devastating counter-strikes before her opponents can even process her movement.
Godlike Stamina and Endurance: Her baseline physical conditioning is flawless. During Greed Island, she watched over Gon and Killua's brutal training routine for weeks without getting any sleep herself, remaining fully awake for at least ten consecutive days without showing a single hint of exhaustion or drop in performance.
Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Decades of intense martial arts training make her a flawless close-quarters brawler. Her combat style is brutal, pragmatic, and highly efficient, blending perfect form with deceptive movements to effortlessly dismantle experienced martial artists like Bara and Binolt.
Genius Intellect and Tactics: Bisky is highly analytical, calculating, and cold under pressure. She excels at psychological warfare, utilizing her harmless child-like appearance to trick enemies into lowering their guard before exploiting their weaknesses.
Nen Affinity and Abilities
Nen (念) is a fundamental power system that allows individuals to control their life energy, known as aura. By manipulating their aura, Nen users can create unique supernatural abilities called Hatsu, enhancing their physical capabilities or creating complex, personal powers.
Nen Affinity: Biscuit’s natural Nen type is Transmutation. According to official series databooks and creator notes, she has achieved an "Extreme" level of mastery in Transmutation, the highest proficiency tier attainable. What makes Bisky truly formidable is her well-roundedness; she has trained herself to near-perfection in almost every accessible Nen category, including Enhancement, Emission, and Manipulation, allowing her to effortlessly execute high-level training regimens across all types.
Magical Esthetician (Magical Spa Services): Bisky's primary utility ability involves a blend of Transmutation, Conjuration, and Manipulation. She summons a beautiful Nen beast named Cookie-chan (or simply Cookie). Cookie is a professional masseuse who uses specialized lotions transmuted from Bisky's aura to provide therapeutic massages. These treatments burn away fat, relieve immense fatigue, restore physical vitality, heal skin, and improve circulation.
Piano Massage: A sub-technique of her Magical Esthetician. By using this technique, Cookie allows an individual to gain the benefits of a full 8 hours of deep sleep in just 30 minutes. This ability acted as a "cheat code" for Gon and Killua during their training on Greed Island and before the Chimera Ant invasion, compressing a year's worth of harsh physical and Nen training into a single month because their recovery time was virtually instantaneous.
Body Transformation: Ironically, Bisky's most distinct physical ability is also a passive result of her Nen. Because she deeply detests her massive, overly muscular true form, years of intense desire caused her aura to naturally revert her body back into a petite, doll-like young girl. She can freely revert back to her original, giant form when she needs to fight at full power, though she hates doing so because she feels it makes her look crude and unladylike.

Goals and Reputation
Bisky’s motivations are a blend of highly refined, professional Hunter ambitions and quirky, superficial personal desires. Cultivating raw talent is Bisky's greatest joy. She likens teaching Nen to mining and polishing diamonds. She despises wasted or squandered potential and will unrelentingly push talented students to their absolute limits to grant them ultimate autonomy.
As a specialized Stone Hunter, she is obsessed with collecting precious, rare gemstones. Her primary motivation for entering the dangerous Greed Island game was solely to acquire a card for the legendary, ultra-rare gem known as the Blue Planet. She also has a massive weakness for money, male fashion magazines, and attractive young men, famously losing her composure at the sight of a completely naked Hisoka.
On a personal level, Bisky actively works to keep her true, massive, muscular physique hidden. Because she values a delicate idea of traditional femininity, she despises how butch her natural body is and uses Nen to maintain a cutesy public appearance.
Within the world of Hunter x Hunter, Bisky is a legendary figure who commands an elite level of professional and combat respect. Bisky studied directly under Isaac Netero (the late Chairman of the Hunter Association) at the Shingen-ryu School of Kung Fu. She is also the master of Wing, meaning she is effectively the "grand-master" to Gon and Killua.
She is a highly decorated Double-Star Hunter. This elite title means she has fulfilled strict Hunter Association bylaws, achieved remarkable feats in her own field, and successfully mentored students who achieved single-star status. Bisky is widely trusted across the community. She was highly regarded enough to be a candidate for the 13th Hunter Chairman election. Later on, Kurapika explicitly hires her on Killua's personal recommendation to act as a crucial bodyguard during the incredibly dangerous Succession War arc on the voyage to the Dark Continent.
Among real-world Hunter x Hunter fans, Bisky is universally celebrated as a masterpiece of shonen mentor writing. Many fans consider Bisky to be one of the greatest mentors in manga history. Unlike traditional mentors who baby their students, Bisky enforces rigid, practical fundamentals. She forced Gon and Killua to figure things out for themselves, which directly led to Gon developing his signature Jajanken.
Fan discussions frequently rank her as an absolute top-tier human fighter. In the official databook (Hunter x Hunter: Hunter's Guide), characters are evaluated across six categories (Mind, Body, Skill, Nen, Ingenuity, and Relentlessness), with each category scored from 1 to 5.
When fans added up the total numerical stats of the characters featured in the Chimera Ant arc charts, Biscuit received an overall score of 26 out of 30 (scoring 5/5 in Mind, Body, Skill, and Nen, and 3/5 in Ingenuity and Relentlessness). Among the human characters given stats in that specific section, her total score was indeed the second highest:
Isaac Netero: 30/30
Biscuit Krueger: 26/30
Chrollo Lucilfer / Hisoka Morow: 25/30
Because of this the fanbase treats her true, muscular form as a terrifying "cheat code" that can obliterate almost any opponent in standard physical combat. However, it should be noted that Togashi has a tendency to completely ignore or even contradict information recorded in these databooks.
Despite her devious, manipulative introductions where she initially wanted to break up Gon and Killua's friendship for fun, fans love her because she genuinely developed deep, parental affection for the boys. Her tearing up when parting ways with them cemented her as a deeply loved, comforting matriarch of the series.
