Ha Yuri Zahard (also known as Ha Yuri Jahad in some translations) is a major supporting character in the series Tower of God, known for being a high-ranking Princess of Zahard and a legendary High Ranker. She is a direct descendant of the Ha Family, one of the 10 Great Families, and is specifically the great-granddaughter of the Family Head, Ha Yurin.
She is one of the most famous and influential Princesses in the Tower. She achieved the status of a Ranker in roughly 200–300 years and became a High Ranker just 100 years after that, a feat considered prodigious.

Appearance
Ha Yuri Zahard is depicted as a beautiful young woman with fair skin, piercing red eyes, and a tall, lithe figure, standing at 180 cm (approximately 5'11"). She is noted for her striking resemblance to her great-grandmother, Ha Yurin, the head of the Ha Family.
She has long, flowing black hair that nearly reaches her ankles. It is typically tied into a high ponytail on the left side of her head with a red spiky ribbon, with her bangs swept to the right. Her eyes are a distinct, vivid red and she is described as having an "above average" sized bosom and a solid, athletic build due to her Ha Family lineage and status as a Princess of Zahard.
Yuri's clothing changes throughout the series, but she is most well-known for her Part I outfit, which consists of a white long-sleeved jacket or blazer worn over a black shirt and a red tie featuring the Zahard crest. She pairs this with a short red skirt, black tights, and red high-heeled shoes.
She has also been seen in more formal or business-like attire, such as a pink business shirt with a maroon skirt and matching blouse. For royal appearances, she adds an overcoat with red and black fluff. Recently, Yuri has shifted to a more modern style, wearing a dark grey jacket over a black t-shirt and black trousers.
Personality
Ha Yuri Zahard is defined by her hot-tempered, rash, and fiercely impulsive personality. As a High Ranker and a Princess of the Ha Family, she often chooses to "smash through" obstacles rather than use complex strategies, relying heavily on her immense physical strength.
Yuri is known for making decisions based on emotion and immediate desire rather than careful consideration, which frequently causes headaches for her guide, Evan Edrok. She is blunt and often lets her fists do the talking. Since meeting Twenty-Fifth Baam when he first entered the Tower, she has been deeply taken with him. She has spent much of the story's timeline actively searching for him and even boarding the dangerous Hell Train to find him again.
Yuri is aware of her status and strength. Despite some palace residents talking behind her back, she proudly identifies as a "capable girl" and maintains high confidence in her abilities. Unlike many other haughty or cold Princesses of Zahard, Yuri is approachable and displays a more "human" side.
She has a friendly affiliation with Wolhaiksong and enjoys fighting alone rather than strictly adhering to royal etiquette. Her short-tempered nature and physical prowess are direct inheritance from her grandmother, Ha Yurin, the Head of the Ha Family, whom she closely resembles.
Background
Ha Yuri Zahard is a prominent High Ranker and Princess of Zahard from the influential Ha Family. She is renowned for her immense physical strength, rebellious personality, and status as a "prodigy" who climbed the Tower at an exceptionally fast pace.
Yuri is the great-granddaughter of Ha Yurin, the Head of the Ha Family. She inherited Yurin's traits so strongly that they are considered identical in both appearance and hot-tempered personality. Because of this resemblance, the Ha Family placed immense faith in her, hoping she would be the one to collect all 13 Month Series weapons.
Her bloodline includes direct descendants from two of the 10 Great Families, including the Ari Family through her great-grandfather. Yuri became a Ranker in just 200–300 years and reached the elite status of High Ranker only 100 years later. Due to her rapid ascent and popularity, she was chosen as a Princess of Zahard and bestowed with the Black March, one of the 13 Month Series weapons.
She eventually became the first Princess in roughly 5,000 years to own two of the 13 Months, the Black March and the Green April, at the same time. While not an official member, Yuri is a close associate of Urek Mazino and was present during the founding of Wolhaiksong.
In a mysterious event during her past, Yuri encountered the Irregular Phantaminum when he invaded the palace. She was one of the few spared by him. Yuri's journey in the main story began when she sensed an Irregular (Baam) entering the Tower and rushed to the first floor to meet him, eventually lending him the Black March.
Powers and Abilities
Ha Yuri Zahard is a high-ranking Fisherman and one of the most powerful Princesses of Zahard currently active in the Tower. Her combat style is defined by overwhelming physical strength inherited from the Ha Family and exceptional Shinsu control granted by the power of Zahard.
Core Physical Abilities
Yuri's physical prowess is considered "level cheated," even compared to other Rankers.
Supreme Strength: She possesses enough power to create craters with a flick of her finger. Her physical strikes, such as the Nuclear Punch, can generate massive explosions on impact.
Incredible Agility: Despite her focus on heavy hitting, she is exceptionally fast and agile, capable of blitzing entire armies and dodging high-level attacks with ease.
Immense Durability: Her body is naturally sturdy, allowing her to take zero damage from attacks that would devastate other High Rankers.
Shinsu Control and Technique
Shinsu (Divine Water) is the foundational, omnipresent energy source in Tower of God, acting as oxygen, life force, and matter within the Tower. It can be manipulated into elements like water, fire, or light to grant superhuman abilities, immortality, and immense power. It is typically managed by Shinsu Manipulation through contracts with Administrators.
Shinsu Quality (Rose): Yuri uses techniques like Rose Shower, which blankets a vast area in deadly Shinsu petals, and Red Velvet Sword, a high-power Shinsu wave blast.
Shinsu Bubbles: She can generate green bubbles for various purposes, including:
Offensive: Melting an opponent's body.
Defensive: Protecting allies from extreme hazards like boiling acid.
Utility: Instant teleportation and transportation of objects or people.
Shinsu Resistance: Her resistance is "miraculously high," allowing her to move through high-density Shinsu areas that would immobilize most other characters.
Notable Weapons
Yuri owns a vast arms inventory, primarily consisting of Needles, though the following weapons are her most note-worthy.
Black March: A legendary 13 Month Series needle. Although she is its official owner, its spirit often refuses to ignite for her because it prefers handsome males.
Green April: Another 13 Month Series weapon. Unlike the Black March, Yuri can ignite it, allowing it to decompress into a massive, flexible forest of vines with a huge range.
Kranos: A powerful ignition weapon given to her by Urek Mazino, though its ignition can typically only be used once per day.
Goals and Reputation
Ha Yuri Zahard's primary goal in Tower of God is to change the Tower's stagnant future by supporting those who can bring about change, most notably the irregular, Baam. Unlike many other Princesses who follow King Zahard's orders blindly, Yuri seeks to live according to her own sense of justice and freedom.
Since meeting him on the first floor, Yuri has been obsessed with finding and protecting Baam. She believes he is the "tidal wave" needed to shake up the Tower and is willing to risk her status as a Princess to help him. Yuri has expressed that she wants to be a "Princess people can admire" in a better future, suggesting she is dissatisfied with the current oppressive system under King Zahard.
Encouraged by the Ha Family (who hope she will become the next Family Head), she has a long-term goal of collecting the 13 Month Series weapons. She currently holds the Black March and Green April, making her the first Princess in thousands of years to own two simultaneously.
She is often described as a "pro-excitement" character who wants things in the Tower to start moving again. Her guide, Evan Edrok, often has to manage her impulsive nature as she frequently abandons her official duties to pursue her own interests.
Yuri Zahard is one of the most prominent figures in Tower of God, commanding immense respect within the story's world and holding a "best girl" status among the fanbase. Within the Tower, Yuri is a High Ranker (Top 500) and a high-profile Princess of Zahard known for her volatility and unprecedented achievements.
She is one of King Zahard’s most favoured daughters, second only to Adori Zahard in popularity and performance. Additionally, her status as a direct descendant of the Ha Family gives her massive political weight. Her sobriquet, the "Black Snakehead", taken from her great-grandmother Ha Yurin, reflects her reputation as a fierce, hot-tempered warrior.
Among fans, Yuri is consistently ranked as a top favorite due to her dynamic personality and role as a "big sister" figure to the protagonist, Baam. Many fans consider her the "best girl" of the series, citing her cool demeanor, physical strength, and protective nature toward Baam. Fans generally prefer her webtoon characterization, which is seen as more playful and warm. Some critics felt the anime made her appear more one-dimensionally arrogant and irritable.
She is beloved for her "level-cheater" strength, often appearing to effortlessly handle threats, and her comedic, short-tempered interactions with her guide, Evan Edrok. The community views her as a central pillar of the story’s lore, with many anticipating the upcoming Princess Arc, where she is expected to be a primary focus.
