Who Is Endorsi Zahard?

Endorsi Zahard (also known as Androssi Jahad depending on the translation) is a major character in the webtoon and anime series Tower of God. She is one of the Princesses of Zahard, a select group of powerful women who have been granted the power of the King of the Tower, Zahard, through a blood injection. Despite her title, she is still a "Regular," meaning she is currently climbing the Tower to reach the top.

Appearance

Endorsi Zahard is portrayed as a beautiful and elegant young woman with a mostly human appearance, despite being over 300 years old. Her character design is intended to reflect a "normal modern girl" who takes immense pride in her looks and fashion.

Endorsi has short, bob-cut brown hair and striking golden-yellow eyes, though her most distinctive non-human feature is a small red horn on the right side of her head, which is a racial trait often mistaken for a hair accessory. She has an average build, stands at roughly 167 cm tall, and has a pale complexion.

In her debut and throughout much of the early series, she is seen in a stylish yellow dress, as well as black leggings and a brown vest. She is famous for her preference for high heels, which sometimes caused her difficulty during high-intensity combat, and she often carries a cross-body bag and uses tiny red needles as pins for her clothing, which actually serve as compressed weapons.

As the series progresses, her outfits change frequently to match her "fashionista" personality, including disguises and formal dresses during various arcs like the Workshop Battle or Name Hunt Station. This includes a notable shift from high-heels to more combat-appropriate shoes that Baam suggested.

Personality

Endorsi Zahard is defined by a complex blend of ambition, ruthlessness, and a hidden desire for affection. While she often presents herself as haughty and self-centered, she has undergone significant growth from a cold-blooded competitor into a loyal friend who values her bonds over her prestigious status.

As a Princess of Zahard, she is prideful and often acts superior to others. She is extremely confident in her strength and beauty, often putting on makeup even in dangerous situations to maintain her image. Her early life was a brutal survival of the fittest competition where she killed her adopted sisters just to have a seat at the table. This experience left her with a pragmatic, sometimes cynical approach to life in the Tower.

Despite her exterior, she is a lonely girl who craves genuine love, something she missed after her foster parents were killed. Her behavior of seeking media attention is often interpreted as an expression of this inner void. Meeting Twenty-Fifth Baam softened her significantly. She became fiercely protective of her friends, specifically Anak Zahard, frequently risking her position as a Princess to help them.

She rarely listens to anyone besides Baam and is known for bossing around teammates like Ship Leesoo (Shibisu). Unlike many in the Tower, she values her own path over the strict rules governing the Princesses. Baam's selflessness and innocence were a slap in the face to her cynical worldview. He was the first person to treat her with pure kindness, leading her to develop strong romantic feelings for him.

Background

The backstory of Endorsi Zahard is one of the most ruthless and tragic in the series, defined by her brutal climb from an orphan to a Princess of Zahard. Endorsi was an orphan who initially lived a normal, quiet life after being adopted by a kind couple. However, her life took a dark turn when she encountered the Snake Charmer, a mysterious figure who recognized her potential. To force her onto the path of becoming a Princess, the Snake Charmer murdered her foster parents.

Following the tragedy, she was adopted into a branch of one of the Ten Great Families that was desperate for prestige. The family head, a failed Ranker, adopted many talented girls to compete for the single spot as a Princess candidate. The girls' status was determined by their training performance. Successful candidates ate lavish feasts at the head of a long table, while the "failures", including Endorsi at first, ate stale bread on the floor.

After awakening a hidden power and finally tasting the delicious food at the table, Endorsi grew greedy for the other girls' dishes. She eventually killed every other candidate to sit alone at the table and eat everything. By eliminating her competition, she was selected to receive Zahard's blood, granting her the immense physical strength and status she possesses today. She later described herself and other Princesses as "display shoes" in a cabinet, beautiful to look at but strictly confined by Zahard’s rules, including a ban on love and marriage.

Powers and Abilities

Endorsi Zahard (also known as Androssi) is a Princess of Zahard and an exceptionally powerful Fisherman. Currently a Regular, her combat abilities are already considered to be in a completely different league compared to her peers.

Core Physical Abilities

  • Supreme Strength: Due to being a Princess of Zahard, she has received a fraction of the King's power, giving her physical capabilities that exceed those of normal Regulars. She is noted as being unmatched in physical capability among her fellow Regulars.

  • Incredible Agility: Endorsi excels in high-speed combat and agility, capable of jumping over 30 meters and countering attacks from Rankers.

  • High Durability: Her body is naturally sturdy, allowing her to take less damage from attacks.

Shinsu Control and Technique

Shinsu (Divine Water) is the foundational, omnipresent energy source in Tower of God, acting as oxygen, life force, and matter within the Tower. It can be manipulated into elements like water, fire, or light to grant superhuman abilities, immortality, and immense power. It is typically managed by Shinsu Manipulation through contracts with Administrators.

  • Shinsu Quality (Love Dart): Her Shinsu takes the form of red darts, allowing her to attack effectively from a distance.

  • Body Reinforcement: Endorsi uses Shinsu to further enhance her physical combat skills, speed, and reflexes.

  • Chiffon Sword: A powerful Shinsu wave blast technique she developed.

  • Masterful Manipulation: After learning her Shinsu quality, a red, heart-shaped needle/dart, from Data Eduan (data version of Khun Eduan), Endorsi mastered it in approximately one day.

Notable Weapons and Items

  • Bong Bong: A pink, fairy-like high-tech item she won during the Workshop Battle. It allows her to teleport herself and others to different locations, a crucial ability she often uses for both repositioning in combat and utility.

  • Needles: Her primary weapon of choice, which she often uses in a compressed form for easier handling.

  • Narumada: An Ignition Weapon in the form of a sword that she is adept at using, though it is not her primary combat style.

Goals and Reputation

Endorsi Zahard’s primary goals evolve throughout Tower of God as she shifts from a ruthless, survival-focused competitor to someone seeking personal freedom and genuine connection. Her motivations can be broken down into three key areas:

  • Breaking Free from the "Princess Cage": Originally, Endorsi’s sole focus was to survive and maintain her status as a Princess of Zahard, a position she earned after murdering her adopted siblings. However, her character arc is defined by her desire to escape the restrictive nature of this role. She famously compares Princesses to beautiful shoes kept in a display case, they are meant to be admired but never allowed to "walk" their own path. Her long-term goal is to live for herself rather than as a tool for the Zahard Empire or her adoptive family.

  • Protecting and Pursuing Her Relationship with Baam: After meeting Twenty-Fifth Baam, her priorities shifted toward protecting him and pursuing a romantic relationship, even though Princesses are strictly forbidden from dating. She has repeatedly risked her title and life to help Baam, most notably during the Last Station arc, where she openly fought against Zahard’s army to save him. She seeks a "normal" life where she can date and experience the affection she lacked during her brutal upbringing.

  • Vengeance and Closure: On the Hidden Floor, it was revealed that Endorsi harbors a deep-seated desire to confront the source of her childhood trauma. Her sworn enemy is the Snake Charmer, the figure who forced her into the competitive cycle that led to her siblings' deaths. She also feels a sense of duty toward her "niece" Anaak Zahard, often putting herself at risk to ensure they can climb the Tower together.

Endorsi maintains a dual reputation as a high-profile celebrity within the Tower and a polarizing but consistently popular "best girl" figure among the fanbase. Within the Tower of God universe, Endorsi is a widely recognized celebrity and an elite Regular. Her image is used for product placement on the 20th Floor, and she has appeared on the front cover of magazines for promising Regulars.

To common Regulars like Ja Wangnan, she is viewed as an "idol" or a top-tier star they hope to meet. She is also officially recognized as one of the top 5 E-Rank Regulars, while among her peers, she is considered to have unmatched physical ability due to her training and the blood of Zahard. However, her association with Anak Zahard (a "fake" princess) and her blatant romantic interest in Baam have put her in a precarious position with the Zahard Empire, though her high public profile offers her some protection from immediate assassination.

Among fans, Endorsi is a complex character whose reception ranges from fierce loyalty to vocal criticism. She consistently ranks in the top 5 of annual popularity polls at SIU's official cafe. She recently won a community-voted "Best Girl" competition on Reddit. Fans often praise her for being one of the few characters who treats Baam as an equal rather than a god-like figure. Unlike others who feel "saved" by him, she remains independent and open about her romantic feelings.

However, Endorsi’s "mean girl" or "tsundere" personality is a point of contention for a portion of the fanbase. Some find her haughtiness and brutal past (killing her adoptive sisters to become a Princess) as part of her realistic development, while others view her as toxic or selfish due to her past cruelty. In more recent arcs, some fans feel she has been "underutilized" or demoted to a "Bong Bong-bot," serving primarily as a transport for the main team rather than having her own significant character development. Though, given her popularity, this is a relatively small portion of the fanbase.
